Preview of the Coming Age
1. What two different resurrections did Jesus mention?
John 5:28, 29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which
all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth;
they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that
have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
2. The two resurrections are separated by how many years?
Revelation 20:4-5 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which
had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received
his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and
reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not
again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first
resurrection.
3. What two words describe those who have part in the first
resurrection?

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the
thousand years were finished.
5. The resurrection of the righteous occurs at the time of what great
event?
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 For this we say unto you by the word of the
Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord
shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then
we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord.
6.The resurrected and living righteous will then be caught up together
to meet the Lord where?
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so
shall we ever be with the Lord.
Jesus is coming to take the righteous to the place He has prepared for
them in heaven (See lesson 4).
7. When Jesus comes, what will He do to the wicked?
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the
Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with
the brightness of his coming:
“They shall fall and perish at thy presence.” Psalm 9:3.
8. How does Revelation describe what happens to those who are not saved
when Jesus comes?
Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that
sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the
fowls were filled with their flesh.
“Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and
turneth it upside own, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. .
. . The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord
hath spoken this word. . . . The earth shall reel to and fro like a
drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression
thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.”
Isaiah 24:1, 3, 20.
9. Jeremiah was shown the desolate condition of the earth after that

the heavens were fled.
“And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the
earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented,
neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.”
Jeremiah 25:33.
11. What will happen to all our great cities?
Jeremiah 4:26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness,
and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD,
and by his fierce anger.
“For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will
I not make a full end.” Jeremiah 4:27.
12. When the righteous arrive in heaven what responsibility will they be
given?

resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be
priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

1 Corinthians 6:2, 3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the

more things that pertain to this life?
14. How long will Satan be bound?
Revelation 20:1, 2 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the

bound him a thousand years
15. He will be bound from doing what?
Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up,
and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more,
till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be
loosed a little season.
16. How will God bind him from doing that?
Zephaniah 1:2, 3 I will utterly consume all things from off the land,
saith the LORD. 3I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls
of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with
the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.
17. Where will Satan be during the thousand years?
Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up,
and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more

which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather
them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
22. For what purpose will the wicked be resurrected?

Philippians 2:10, 11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory
of God the Father.
24. But their confession is too late; for what then happens to them?

was cast into the lake of fire.
“And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”

Rev. 21:4, 5 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5And he
that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he
said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his
people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

long enjoy the work of their hands.

Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter
end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
In the Light of Gods Word....(Please respond YES or NO)
I understand that the righteous will be in heaven for a thousand years. Then they will
inherit the earth made new.
